CO2 Type Fire Extinguisher

The CO2 Type Fire Extinguisher uses pressurized carbon dioxide gas as its extinguishing agent, making it particularly effective against Class B fires involving flammable liquids and Class C fires involving live electrical equipment, since CO2 leaves no residue and does not conduct electricity. The extinguisher is typically identifiable by its distinctive horn-shaped nozzle, which helps direct the concentrated stream of gas onto the fire source while minimizing the risk of frostbite to the operator’s hand from the extremely cold discharge.
