Water Filled & Plastic Expandable Barrier

The Water Filled & Plastic Expandable Barrier is a modular traffic and area management system made from durable rolled plastic or interlocking panels that can be filled with water to add weight and stability once positioned in place, making it significantly more resistant to displacement from wind, vehicle contact, or accidental bumps compared to lightweight cones or tape barriers. When empty, the barrier remains lightweight and easy to transport or store, and can be quickly filled with water on-site using a simple valve system, then drained again when the barrier needs to be relocated or removed.

The expandable design of many of these barriers allows them to be extended or compacted to fit the specific length of a work zone or lane closure, offering flexibility that rigid concrete barriers cannot match. Bright coloring, often combined with reflective elements, ensures the barrier remains highly visible to approaching traffic, while its solid, water-weighted presence provides a much stronger physical deterrent against vehicles accidentally entering a restricted zone compared to cones or tape alone.
